“I believe. Help my unbelief.”
“Lord, save us!”
“My little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hands on her so that she might live.”
“Don’t you care if we drown?”
“Have mercy on us.”
“I beg you to look at my son.”
There’s a pattern to these requests. They are simple and desperate. These are people who know their need, and they bring it to Jesus with uncertain faith and the ache of something close to hopelessness in their voices.
Just a reminder, for all of us, that prayer is as simple as the word Help and that God is present, able, and longing to give us the help we need.
