7 Things I’m Loving Right Now

1. Shrinking

Peter and I started watching Shrinking on AppleTV. We are only two episodes in so far, but we love the characters and the story and have laughed out loud and also cringed with the awkward and messy humanity of this show.

2. Spring.

I’m loving running outside and all the shades of yellow daffodils and surly gray skies that make that fresh new green grass all the more bright.

3. Track meets.

William and Marilee are running track and it is so fun to watch.

4. The Dictionary of Lost Words.

I’m also loving The Dictionary of Lost Words, a novel about a young woman at the turn of the 20th century in England who ends up working on compiling both an official dictionary and an unofficial one of the “lost words” of women and poor people. It took me a little while to love this, but I got there.

5. JCrew Factory espadrille wedges.

Okay, so I bought these for $64 and they were comfortable. As anyone who reads these posts knows, I have never recommended shoes before. But these are keepers and they make me feel happy.

6. The Good Faith podcast

On the podcast front, I’m loving The Good Faith podcast. Curtis Chang has hosted such rich and varied conversations lately, including a discussion about life and death with Lydia Dugdale, impact and influence with Andy Crouch, and what it means to be human with Anne Snyder Brooks.

7. Martin Luther King’s Ten Commandments of Non-Violence.

Someone pointed these out to me last week and I’m so taken with the combination of practicality and idealism embedded within them. Not to mention the “meditate daily on the teachings and life of Jesus.”

What are you loving right now?
