And all of a sudden, she’s a junior.
A junior who set her alarm and woke up without nudging. Who packed her lunch and her backpack and picked out her outfit and asked me to print her schedule. Who was so very ready to return to the rhythm of classes and friendships and cafeteria lunches (Penny loves all cafeteria food, and she has won the battle with her mother who thinks that a lunch from home is healthier). Who moved as quickly as ever because her friend texted at 7:15 and asked her to get to school as soon as she could so they could hang out before first bell.
Happy Junior Year, Penny.
