FOCUS Staff Training » Teaching the Gospel Narrative: An Invitation for All
Aim: Training and Workshop to equip staff in teaching the gospel narrative, in particular using passages that highlight various socio-cultural and ethnic dimensions (often left out of evangelistic presentations, and especially relevant to Gen. Z).
● FOCUS Mission: “… to present Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior, to independent school students…” It is our aim that our teaching would better present the various ways that Jesus’ boundary crossing love is compelling to independent school students from a variety of socio-cultural and ethnic backgrounds. By highlighting socio-cultural and ethnic context to gospel narratives, this gives the opportunity for a more broad range of students to identify with the good news of Jesus’ gospel of the kingdom.
● Session 1, 40–60 minutes: Jesus’ Gospel is Good News for All.
● Session 2 (Workshop, 60-90 minutes): Jesus’ Gospel in Context.
● Session 3 (Workshop, 60-90 minutes): Jesus’ Gospel as an Invitation to All Students.
