A few months back, I was looking ahead at August and realized I didn’t have many plans. Two thoughts came to mine. I could set a goal of finishing the proposal for my next book. Or I could not try to move anything forward for work.
I have chosen the latter, and I’m so glad. August started off with a few days with our dear friends Sarah and John, and now I’m at the shore with dozens of immediate and extended family members on all sides. I’m grateful for walks, bike rides, reading, cooking, games, and lots of conversation and laughter.
The book proposal can wait!
